I’m David Cotton, the Founder of Turnagain Capital.

Born and raised in Alaska, I left Anchorage after high school and didn’t expect to return. My career brought me around the globe: to Los Angeles where I founded a storage & moving company, to Greece where I managed a nonprofit, to Connecticut for my MBA, and to Seattle where I advised Fortune 500 energy companies on business strategy.

But the community, the outdoors, and the opportunity of Alaska eventually called me back. In 2025, my wife and I resettled in Anchorage for the long-term.

Now, through Turnagain Capital, I’m focused on deepening my roots in Alaska by acquiring and growing one great Alaska business with a legacy I can build upon and a team I can invest in. Post-acquisition, I intend to dedicate myself to leading that business full-time.
